The process behind dreaming is an interesting subject to discuss. In this film, I combined live exhibition and story together, trying to express a fundamental question about dreaming - is it a real border between reality and dream? Buddism’s philosophy tells us, your life is a dream, and the troubles you have in life are a snake inside your dream, it brings you fear and uncertainty. Having faith in religion is like having a stick to deal with the snake, but once you wake up, you will find out neither the snake nor the stick are real.  

 

PROCESS:

The process of shooting this film combined shooting the story and documenting the exhibition.   I wrote the story base on a real person I knew who believes energy transformation. The whole crew took four days to finish the plot, shooting and one day of exhibition recording. I really appreciate all crew members' professional work, it made the whole shooting process much easier.

 

With sound, I added some interesting design to express my political statement, switching space and time, making errors on purpose.  

 

With the exhibition I planned from February until June 2017, communicating, organizing and promoting during the period. Thanks to all my artist friends who build up this interesting exhibition with me.
