The first time I saw the Chinese garden from outside to inside,
I found the structure still there, even though it looks burned.
I couldn’t get in because the door was closed,
it will not open until one day when it’s repaired.
I wonder if there is one day, the door will open,
and the wall between inside and outside will disappear.

Chinesischer Garten in Bethmann Park (Bethmannpark) was a gift from Huizhou, Anhui province to
Frankfurt in 1989. It's well designed and maintained in a dense neighborhood on 4,000 sq meters. However, it was burned
down in 2017.
“Chinesischer Garten” music theatre project presents a “burned” Chinese situation in a western context, illustrating the
contrasting trend of censorship in mainland China and the positive value of people’s reactions.
